DC NUTRUNNER

WHY DC TOOLS?

In the world of tightening & loosening whenever you acquire accuracy, precision, reliability traceability, high peak torques, torque verifications, advanced bolting solutions digital transformation on the assembly line, etc dc fastening tools come into the picture.

WHAT ARE DC TOOLS/ NUTRUNNERS? PURPOSE OF USING DC TOOLS

Unlike other torque tools, DC tools are developed with the capabilities to tightly integrate & control all the characteristics of the assembly automation process. They can be ‘tuned in’ or adjusted for a particular joint to get the best capability. They have many features that can be adjusted to provide maximum flexibility and performance. These include the run-down speed, final tightening speed, acceleration, and torque overshoot compensation.

CLASSIFICATION OF ESTIC DC TOOLS

HANDHELD NUTRUNNERS

There is an equal variety of possible solutions when it comes to processing nuts. Size and shape as well as possible interferences are the deciding factors for the choice of the adequate hand-held nutrunner model.

1) Corded Tools

  • o These handheld tools are ideal for tightening critical parts that require high accuracy and mobility.
  • o They support pulse tightening with low reaction force and direct tightening with high accuracy.
  • o Various types of data are recorded to provide reliable traceability.

Features

Pulse Technology to reduce Reaction Force- By tightening using intermittent impact force like hitting with a hammer, users receive little reaction force.

Direct Fastening - Tightening by continuous motion, users receive a large reaction force. Whether for engines, transmissions, or EV batteries, our high-speed, high-precision direct fastening technology provides reliable traceability and steadfast support for those critical parts and components that demand optimal accuracy and repeatability. Combine with a tracer arm for a user- friendly fastening setup with no reaction force. Use a direct-only tool to execute high-torque fastening where pulse technology cannot be used.

Types of Tool according to torque range
  • Pistol Tools- ( 1-120 ) Nm
  • Right Angle Tool - ( 4 – 600 ) Nm
  • Straight Tool - ( 1 – 420 ) Nm

2) Cordless Tools-

  • o The ESTIC cordless series tools communicate wirelessly with the controller.
  • o Cordless tools allow workers to easily move.
  • o These are ideal for tightening work inside vehicles and cramped spaces.

Features

Improved Workability without Wires - ESTIC cordless tools feature high accuracy and traceability. Ideal for tightening work in narrow and congested workspaces. There is no risk of cable damage to the product.

Pulse Technology - Cordless nut runners are equipped with ESTIC's patented pulse tightening technology, so work can be done with minimal reaction to the operator. The ESTIC cordless tools can fasten up to 100N・m.

01 Pulse Fastening

By tightening using intermittent impact force like hitting with a hammer, users receive little reaction force.

02 Direct Fastening

Tightening by continuous motion, users receive a large reaction force.

3) Micro Tools-

As small as 0.1 N・m ( 0.07 ft·lb ) tightening. Micro tools can error-proof small screws which are difficult for an operator to distinguish visually. Our micro tools store all data with full traceability.

Features

Error Detection - ESTIC's micro tools detect abnormal tightening and stop the tool to prevent improperly tightened screws from going down the line. This in turn leads to improved productivity.

Traceability - ESTIC's micro tools ensure full traceability at low torque by storing various data such as tightening results and torque curves.

Robot Compatibility - ESTIC's micro tools can be integrated with robots in the ERS-series. This unified system is more user-friendly and has less initial set-up time.

4) FIXTURED NUT RUNNERS

Fixtured nut runners for automated systems. These systems boast the highest tightening accuracy among all ESTIC products. They offer a range of detection features to prevent tightening errors.

Features

Compact Design - ESTIC is constantly striving for compact equipment to utilize space more efficiently.

Self Diagnosis - System checks are performed for the core components, such as the torque sensor, angle sensor, and the motor before every fastening cycle is performed. Through this process, we can ensure accurate results and reliability.

Wide Range of Tools - The lineup of tools is abundant and supports a wide range of torque bands from 0.5 to 3000 N·m ( 0.4 to 2,212.7 ft-lb ). The range width of each tool unit is large (rated torque x 10% to rated torque), and it is compatible with a variety of bolts.

KEY BENEFITS OF DC TOOLS
